Canyon Bikes specializes in serving visitors using the paved, 16 mile, Glenwood Canyon Recreational Trail. You will enjoy a gentle ride along the Colorado River, at the base of Glenwood Canyon. The scenery will take your breath away! You ride at your own pace, so feel free to stop and enjoy the restroom and picnic facilities you pass along the way. If you need to “cool off”, how about a dip in the river?
The trail also accesses spectacular hikes, including the amazing Hanging Lake Trail. A lock is provided so you can lock your bikes at a trailhead, and set off on another part of your adventure.
Rent a Bike!
Canyon Bikes makes biking easy for the whole family! We have the largest fleet of NEW rental equipment and can accommodate most every need. From bikes, to child trailers and tag-alongs, to trailers for your family pet, we have the right bike for your need. Included in every rental are helmets, lock, handlebar pack, trail maps, trailside assistance.
Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, camera, water bottles and snacks/picnic lunch. Because this adventure is Colorado nature at its finest, riders often stay longer than planned. There is water available at each rest area, but no food. Handlebar packs are large enough to hold everything you need!
Ride from our Office or take the Canyon Bikes Shuttle!
The paved 16-mile biking, hiking, and inline skating trail starts one block from our office. You can opt to rent a bike and ride out from here… or enjoy this spectacular trail in the DOWNHILL direction. We offer the only shuttle service for those wishing to ride the entire trail starting at the Dotsero trailhead. A customer favorite, the shuttle makes the trail doable for all ages and abilities and frees up time to enjoy one of the many hikes including the beautiful Hanging Lake trail.
